The Legacy of H.E Ramadhan Omana

LONG LONG TIME AGO...an ordinary man from a humble background in Matawa made rare move on the Mumias Political Chase Board and got many by surprise. 

Ramadhan Nyangweso Omana, did not only become the M.C.A (as refered in modern day)in 2002, but also managed to become the Mayor of Mumias Municipal Council before the end of his tenure.

In all the projects he initiated across, a dream of a Higher Education Learning Institution in Matawa Stands above all. 

Though on a slow pace, the construction of Matawa Polytechnic was launched. Over the years many have had the power to finish the institution, but there was no change.

 H.E Omana looked into the future and raelized the need to have our own institution where technical course would be offered to those who fails to join Secondary Schools or Colleges and University due to various reasons. 

Today, as we hope more funds will be channeled into the institution to stabalize it to the modern day standards. As we thank H.E Oparanya for the support, the now " Matawa County Polytechnic"  will forever remain the Legacy the man who saw it long before us and acted upon it.
