From left :-streverns, timo, zadock, prince Dawn of Greatness A T.Y.G Story   December  2012 ,  a year after formation of Matawa Youth Development (Re) Union, now the prestigious Transformers Youth Group , we managed to host the first ever under 15 Football Tournament at Matawa Primary School Grounds. To many it was the most damn event ever to be organized  in  the region, but to a selected few, allow me not to use the term 'wise',  it was simply the Dawn of Greatness. With a budget of Ksh. 1800, from members contribution and good will friends, the tournament kicked off , ended in few days.  It was after the finals, that we realized how talented the young teens are, money wasn't there main focus, but the opportunity to show case talent at an open field was enough for them to request us not to imagine of giving up on our dreams.  To manage the sports event, a sports department was formed within our group, specifically to run any ...

"Lisha Jirani"  -  Phase 1 On August 27th 2016, Transformers Youth Group launched the first food donation program, alias "Lisha Jirani" for the first time. The Program was aimed at distributing food to the elderly women and men in Lureko Sub Location, orphans, widows and the widowers as an a way of appreciating and giving back to the society. Over 200 people attended the function, including village elders from over 20 villages.  With donations from the T.Y.G members, friends, partners, good will donors, it was a success and we therefore voted in favor of  it to being held on annually.  Special thanks to all those who stood with us in our time of need in giving back to the community.

Forward Ever, Backward Never  By Elvis Ong'ayo 2011 - 2018, indeed time is the only true unit of measure, yet once lost, it has no recovery mechanism, at Transformers Youth Group  , we know its value. Leadership comes with responsibilities, and after a specified period of time, results are expected with much anxiety from members, friends and foes alike. On Saturday, 31st 2011, I was given the mantle of leading a group of youths who had great ideas that were destined in transforming Matawa Community. Hamza Nyangweso was elected  the treasurer, and Faridah Ramadhan the vice chair among other officials who included James Opetu, Fredrick Wafula. And till today , am thankful for the post. In a span of 6 years, some members we started with have opted out due to various reasons that as a group we had no authority upon them. Luckily, new members from various parts of country have joined us. Success cannot be founded on mere imaginations. Any leader should at...
