Forward Ever, Backward Never

Leadership comes with responsibilities, and after a specified period of time, results are expected with much anxiety from members, friends and foes alike.
On Saturday, 31st 2011, I was given the mantle of leading a group of youths who had great ideas that were destined in transforming Matawa Community. Hamza Nyangweso was elected the treasurer, and Faridah Ramadhan the vice chair among other officials who included James Opetu, Fredrick Wafula. And till today , am thankful for the post.
In a span of 6 years, some members we started with have opted out due to various reasons that as a group we had no authority upon them. Luckily, new members from various parts of country have joined us.
Success cannot be founded on mere imaginations. Any leader should at all time keep in mind the value of every individual in his or her midst, knowing that each member is as important as any other, this creates exploitable bond within the group, strengthening team work, trust and understanding among the members. Patient, commitment, hard-work, risk taking, creativity, are just a handful of attributes that has kept our flame burning despite a number of challenges arising from almost all corners. Always be ready to provide solutions and not short cuts to evade any obstacle that comes in the way.
Above all, set achievable goals, both short and long term.
Peaceful cohesion among members is import since it builds friendship within the group, effective communication among leader down the line to members, friends and partners closes all possible loop holes that they are waiting to use to destroy you from within.
God is the ultimate being, and He never forsakes His people,
Forward Ever, Backward Never
